Booking a routine appointment
If you require a routine GP or Nurse appointment, please telephone the practice. Pre-bookable ROUTINE appointments will be released no more than two days or one week ahead.
GP appointments are for 10 minutes and are for one person only. It is not possible to discuss more than one item per appointment.
On the day emergency
All patients requiring an EMERGENCY appointment for the same day will be booked into our telephone triage list. This list will be overseen by our Emergency Care Team.
After receiving a call back to assess your EMERGENCY from one of our highly trained clinicians you may be booked into the next appropriate available appointment at any of our three sites. This may well be on the same day should your condition be deemed an emergency by our clinical team.
PLEASE NOTE With our expanded team you do not need to ring the practice at 8am to make an appointment. If you have an urgent problem as long as you ring the practice before 12 noon we should be able to accommodate your request. If you need a routine appointment for your long term conditions review or medication review please call the practice after 10am. If you are requesting home visit please call before 11am.
Online appointment booking
A significant amount of appointments are now available to book online. Some of these appointments are for the next day or within the next two weeks, and can only be accessed online. Please ensure that you select an appointment at your preferred site before booking.
To use this facility the patient must first obtain a user name and password from the surgery in order to log in. This must be done in person at the surgery and will only be provided by the receptionist upon production of photo ID by the patient - such as passport or photo driving licence.
Once you have received your password please allow 24 hours before you can access the system.
The practice has made the decision not to allow any online access for patients aged 11-15 due to data protection and confidentiality issues. For more information please see the following link:-

The Beacon Health Group is thrilled to announce ‘Push Doctor’ a new service offering digital appointments with NHS-trained UK GPs over face to face video call.
If your concern is deemed suitable for this service we will send out an invitation which will ask you to register online or download the app. This will enable you to book ‘Push Doctor’ appointments and have your consultation digitally via video on your smart phone, tablet or computer. Push Doctor will be able to access your medical record for the duration of the consultation and just like in a traditional GP appointment, you will discuss your symptoms, medical history and any other details you want to make the doctor aware of. Push Doctor can issue, if needed, prescriptions, sick certificate, blood tests forms and make referrals. If the doctor feels a physical examination is necessary they will make you an appointment at the surgery during the consultation. This is all completely private and confidential, just as it would be within the surgery.
This new service enables The Beacon Health Group to keep up with appointment demand. Please note this service is in addition to our normal appointments.
Danbury Medical Centre and Mountbatten House Surgery participates in the further training of doctors who are experienced in hospital medicine and wish to make their career in general practice. We also facilitate the training of medical students, nurses, administrative staff and work experience students. Occasionally we wish to video consultations but only with the patient's consent. Confidentiality is respected for patients of all ages and all our staff are bound by the same strict code of confidentiality that is observed by the doctors. As a training practice we are subject to an inspection every three years. Part of the process is an inspection of medical records for quality, not content. If a patient objects they must let the practice know and these notes will be withdrawn.
